Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 29 October 2026

1. Who we are

This website is operated by IT Bosh (Pty) Ltd, trading as Bass Sync ("Bass Sync", "we", "us"), a company registered in South Africa (registration number: 2021/378857/07), based in Menlyn, Pretoria. You can reach us at hello@bass-sync.co.za or +27 71 613 3479.

2. Acceptance of these terms

By browsing this site, placing an order or booking a rental, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, our Shipping Policy, our Returns & Refunds Policy and our Privacy Policy, all published on this page. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or place an order.

3. Our products

Bass Sync sells Dillinger Labs SKAA and SKAA Pro wireless audio equipment. SKAA is a trademark of Eleven Engineering Incorporated; Dillinger Labs builds audio products using SKAA technology, imported into South Africa by Khulula Audio, our supplier and SA distributor. We are not the manufacturer. All products sold on this site are ICASA type-approved for use in South Africa and are imported by Khulula Audio, so you're not buying a grey import. All trademarks, product names and logos (including SKAA, SKAA Pro and Dillinger Labs) remain the property of their respective owners. Product descriptions and specifications on this site are taken from the manufacturer's official documentation and Khulula Audio's published materials; while we take care to keep them accurate, specifications may change without notice.

4. Prices and orders

All prices are quoted in South African Rand and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We take reasonable care to ensure prices and stock levels are correct, but errors can occur; if we discover a pricing or listing error after you've placed an order, we will contact you before proceeding and you may cancel at no charge. Submitting an order through this site is an offer to buy or rent, which we accept when we confirm your order (by email, WhatsApp or dispatch of goods) — not simply by you completing checkout.

5. Payment

Payments are processed securely by PayFast (Pty) Ltd, an independent, licensed payment gateway. We do not see or store your full card or bank account details — these are handled entirely within PayFast's own secure environment. Goods and rental bookings are only confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

6. Delivery

See our Shipping Policy below for delivery areas, timeframes and costs.

7. Rentals

Rental bookings are subject to equipment availability and require full payment of the rental fee, plus a refundable security deposit, before dispatch or collection. The hirer is responsible for the equipment for the full rental period and will be liable for the reasonable cost of repair or replacement of any equipment that is lost, stolen or damaged (beyond fair wear and tear) while in their care. Rental equipment must be returned by the agreed return date; late returns may be charged at the daily rental rate for each additional day. The security deposit is refunded after the equipment has been inspected and found to be in good working order, less any amounts owing for damage, missing items or late return.

8. Right to cancel (cooling-off)

In terms of section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002, you may cancel a transaction entered into on this website, without reason or penalty, within seven (7) business days of receiving the goods, subject to the exceptions in that Act. This cooling-off right does not apply once a rental period has commenced, or to goods that have been used, are not in their original condition and packaging, or were made or customised to your specification. See our Returns & Refunds Policy for how to exercise this right.

9. Warranties

Goods sold on this site carry a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery. Bass Sync provides first-line support and handles your claim directly; we are backed by Khulula Audio as the official South African distributor for any repair, replacement or technical escalation required. This is in addition to your rights under section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, which entitles you to have goods repaired, replaced or refunded if they are found to be defective within six months of delivery, at no charge to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bass Sync's liability for any claim arising from your use of this site or purchase of goods or rental of equipment is limited to the value of the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss (such as loss of profit or loss of an event/gig booking), except where such loss arises from our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time; the version published on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.

Shipping Policy

Delivery areas

We personally deliver within Pretoria and greater Gauteng. Outside of this area, orders are shipped nationwide within South Africa via a reputable courier service.

Dispatch and delivery times

Orders are normally dispatched within 1–3 business days of payment being received, stock permitting. Estimated delivery is same-day to next-day for Gauteng deliveries, and 2–5 business days for nationwide courier deliveries, depending on your location. These are estimates, not guarantees — we'll let you know as soon as possible if we expect a delay.

Shipping costs

Delivery costs are calculated based on your location and the size/weight of your order, and shown at checkout before you pay. Rentals include delivery and collection within Pretoria/Gauteng as standard; nationwide rental delivery is available on request at an additional cost.

Risk and ownership

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Ownership of purchased goods passes to you once payment has been received in full.

Tracking and delays

Where a courier is used, we'll provide tracking details once your order has been dispatched. We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier, incorrect delivery details supplied by you, or events outside our reasonable control (such as load-shedding, weather or strike action), but we will assist in resolving any delivery issue as quickly as possible.

Returns & Refunds Policy

Change of mind (cooling-off)

Under section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, you may cancel your order within 7 business days of receiving the goods, for any reason, by emailing hello@bass-sync.co.za. The goods must be returned unused, in their original packaging and condition, with all accessories and documentation. You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods unless we delivered the wrong item or it arrived faulty. This cooling-off right does not apply to rentals once the rental period has begun.

Faulty or defective goods

If goods are found to be defective within six months of delivery, in terms of section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act, you may choose to have them repaired, replaced or refunded at no cost to you. Please contact us as soon as you notice a fault so we can arrange an inspection, repair or replacement swiftly, working with Khulula Audio and Dillinger Labs where the fault relates to manufacturing.

How refunds are processed

Approved refunds are paid back to your original payment method via PayFast, normally within 5–10 business days of us receiving and inspecting the returned goods. Rental security deposits are refunded within 5 business days of the equipment being returned and inspected, less any amount owing for damage, missing items, cleaning or late return, which we will itemise for you.

Items that can't be returned

Goods that have been used beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect them, damaged through misuse, or made/customised to your specification, cannot be returned under the change-of-mind right above (your rights for defective goods under the Consumer Protection Act are not affected).
